1. What is Free Comic Book Day?
A celebration of comics. Everyone can sample the diversity of the medium for FREE.

2. What comics are free?
Choose from dozens of titles that are created just for Free Comic Book Day. Choices range from humor to heroes, giant robots to tiny owls. There is something for every reader. A full list of titles and their recommended ages is on the reverse.

3. Where are the Free Comics/ How do I get them?
The comics are available at the FCBD display at the front counter. A sample copy of each title is available to look through. When you have decided, tell the staff member your choice(s) and we will get copies for you.

4. How many comics can I get?
Every visitor gets one comic. Additional comics are available when you:

  • Present your library card–Captain Blue Hen supports local libraries!
  • Donate an item or item(s) for the food drive
  • Make a 50 cent donation to help Newark Charter School

5. Can I get one of everything?
CBH reserves the right to limit quantities on any of the FCBD titles. Some titles are extremely limited in quantity, and we want to get them to those who will enjoy them most. In the spirit of the event, please choose those titles you plan to read.

6. Will these FREE Comic Book Day books be worth anything?
We promise you they are all worth reading.
