Sony has also launched the teaser site for “the Green Hornet” check it out here. Set to be released June 25, 2010.

Continuing the viral market of the Dark Knight, you can now check out a nice clip of Two-Face here.

It’s Not Too Late for Dave’s Pick of the Week

Guardians of the Galaxy #2GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY #2

The writing team of Abnett and Lanning are on fire and the art team of Pelletier and Magyar aren’t cooling things down any. This title is fun and inventive. It is a spin-off from Annihilation: Conquest and Starlord, but you need not have read those books to enjoy this one.

GotG is all-out superhero space adventure with its roots in Buck Rogers and Flash Gordon. It reminds me of the best of the Micronauts (the killer Marvel toy tie-in from the late ’70s and early ’80s). Don’t know that one? What about Star Wars (the one you kids call Episode IV - A New Hope)? Like team books? Enjoy the current Nova? Are you a Bill Mantlo fan? Do you get a kick out of the cosmic corner of the Marvel Universe? If you answered ‘yes’ to any or all of these questions, you will love GotG.

Transformers 2, the Boys, Spider-man talk oh my!

Let’s start off with the Boys. From Garth Ennis himself, The Boys have been picked up and there is work on a script and timing for the movie. There is no talk on when or where or who even picked up the rights. He also said he would love to see Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) play Hughie.

As far as Spider-man, the word is that the script should be done in the coming months and Raimi says as long as Sony wants him he will keep making Spidey. He doesn’t want to recast any major roles but if it is necessary then it will be done.

With Pennsylvania only being a hop, skip, and jump away, many of you should have seen my post about the open casting call in Philadelphia this past weekend. Not only did that get things rolling but last Monday was the official beginning of filming in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Here is a link to a HUGE group of one site pictures Transformers 2 On set. Josh Duhamel and Tyrese Gibson have both already been seen on set. Many of the fans have also posted that they have seen a Pontiac Solstice painted just like JAZZ. The sub title for Transformers 2 has also been rumored to be “Revenge of the Fallen”. Take whatever is posted here and on any other site about Transformers 2 with a grain of salt, remember Bay did say he was going to release false information. Also, I sweet experience from a Scooper emailed Superhero Hype, nice little read that will get your Geek motor running. scooper experience

Filming in Bethlehem has wrapped. Once I find next location I will post immediately.

Iron Man Sequel in 2010 Followed by Thor, Cap & The Avengers

Hulk movie/Thor movie

After the success of its first film, Iron Man, Marvel Studios revealed its plans for 2010 and 2011 (because of the writers’ strike there will be no Marvel Studios films in 2009). After The Incredible Hulk on June 13th, the next Marvel Studios film will be a sequel to Iron Man, set to debut April 30th, 2010. The second Marvel Studios movie for 2010 will be Thor, which is slated to premiere on June 4th, 2010. Matthew Vaughn (Layer Cake, Stardust) is set to direct Thor.

The Avengers will be Marvel Studios’ theme for 2011 starting with the May 6th, 2011 debut of The First Avenger: Captain America followed by the first live action Avengers movie in July of 2011.

Marvel Studios has not put Ant-Man, which writer/director Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead) has been developing, on the schedule.
