Transformers 2, the Boys, Spider-man talk oh my!
Let’s start off with the Boys. From Garth Ennis himself, The Boys have been picked up and there is work on a script and timing for the movie. There is no talk on when or where or who even picked up the rights. He also said he would love to see Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) play Hughie.
As far as Spider-man, the word is that the script should be done in the coming months and Raimi says as long as Sony wants him he will keep making Spidey. He doesn’t want to recast any major roles but if it is necessary then it will be done.
With Pennsylvania only being a hop, skip, and jump away, many of you should have seen my post about the open casting call in Philadelphia this past weekend. Not only did that get things rolling but last Monday was the official beginning of filming in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Here is a link to a HUGE group of one site pictures Transformers 2 On set. Josh Duhamel and Tyrese Gibson have both already been seen on set. Many of the fans have also posted that they have seen a Pontiac Solstice painted just like JAZZ. The sub title for Transformers 2 has also been rumored to be “Revenge of the Fallen”. Take whatever is posted here and on any other site about Transformers 2 with a grain of salt, remember Bay did say he was going to release false information. Also, I sweet experience from a Scooper emailed Superhero Hype, nice little read that will get your Geek motor running. scooper experience
Filming in Bethlehem has wrapped. Once I find next location I will post immediately.

Kevin Fiege (president of Marvel Studios) confirms and shoots down.
Usually I try to bring a bunch of stuff to you guys at one time, but when I come across something that I believe will blow ALL of your minds. Well, I just gotta post it.
Kevin Fiege, the president of Marvel Studios, confirmed while talking to online journalists at Universal Studios on May 21 that the Captain America movie will be a World War II period piece. He also said that they will be using this movie to set up the Avengers movie that will be released six weeks after the Captain America movie. He also said that Thor will mainly take place in Asgard, there will be a few scenes outside of Asgard but the majority of it will take place in the mythical Norse realm.
Feige also confirmed release dates for Marvel’s future slate of superhero movies: Iron Man 2 on April 30, 2010; Thor on June 4, 2010; The First Avenger: Captain America on May 6, 2011; and The Avengers on July 1, 2011.
Feige also shot down the rumor going around that Matthew McConaughey is in the running for the role of Captain America.
Also wanted to give a heads up if you are going to Wizard World Philadelphia next weekend. They have announced the schedule for their panels.

RUMORS —
According to Scifi.com, Marvel has offered the lead role of Luke Cage to Tyrese Gibson. “They’re still tweaking the script, and all I will say on that is if that slot eventually opens up, I’ll probably be that guy to come in there and bring that man to life and have a little fun,” Gibson said.
There are also rumors going around on boards and in different interviews with people connected to Spider-man. That they plan to film Spider-man 4 and 5 back to back.
Manga Lots are up on eBay with a LOW starting bid!
As this is being typed, Paul has put up over 800 manga graphic novels on eBay, with more to come soon. These are being offered in lots of about 30-34 each - enough to fill a “Diamond” box. Each lot is starting at only $39 each, which includes shipping. But, for you local Captain Blue hen customers, he will deduct $5.00 per box of each winning bid if you pick them up here!! Check the listings. Basically, you’re only paying for about 4 volumes if you get a lot for the minimum - the rest are FREE! Go to eBay and under the advanced search, type in “cbhcomics” under seller or if you put in “manga comics group” under the regular search, they should show up. Most are going off the end of next week. The VIZ volumes will be up shortly. Good Luck!
