Round Two Results of the Mensa Greatest Toy Ever Bracket Challenge
The results are in and, as promised, the switching of the original seedings played havoc with our entrants. Regardless, we will plod onward.
The following 16 toys with the pairings for this week are:
The Ball – The Cardboard Box
Teddy Bear – Water Gun
Toy Train – Frisbee
Hula Hoop – Army men
Legos – Play Doh
Mr. Potato head – Etch A Sketch
GI Joes – Transformers
RC Cars – Beanie Babies
Everyone received two points for each of your toys that are still in the running. As the rounds progress, the points earned per correct choice increase.
Last week’s leader, Matt Karpinski, stretched his lead to 6 points as he sits atop the board with a score of 50. I sneaked into second with a 44. Jack Pike now occupies third with a 43. Joe Valiante, Keith Dean, Hunter Stitik, and Michelle Schneider all have 42 points. Colin Antes has 41 and Dave “Gacha Machine” Windsor jumped over several to get within easy striking distance with a 40. A bunch sit with 37 – 39 points each. However, Mr. Karpinski is in big trouble – his pick for the eventual winner has already been defeated! (Same with yours, Colin!). The majority of the front-runners have either The Ball or Legos going all the way. We could have a dark horse come in as Liz Wohner’s top pick is still in there and she has a healthy lead over the only other person with that same toy as the winner. Update next Monday!
Did you hear that Disney just bought Lucas Films? Ready for the other three Star Wars movies?
Speaking of movies, Arnold says, “It’s not a rooma” Evidently, he has signed on to play Conan again. Oldman, the Barbarian?
