MIND MGMT #4
Writer/Artist: Matt Kindt
Dark Horse Comics | Comic | $3.99
You might know Matt Kindt from the DC New 52‘s Frankenstein: Agent of S.H.A.D.E. series. Kindt has been doing his own comics for some time, too, but he prefers to do full graphic novels like Revolver and 3 Story. Well, Kindt does a great job with monthly comics too as evidenced by Mind Mgmt! What I like about him is that he makes full use of the potential of a comic book. Kindt uses every bit of the page to tell a story and while it took me time to get to like his art, he uses art and words perfectly together to tell a story.
The story is what brought me to the comic. Mind Mgmt is about a reporter who in her investigation gets involved in the strange world of spies. And these aren’t “normal” spies, but the psychic variety who can manipulate the minds of others and, seemingly, reality. It’s all fascinating and truly mysterious.
Dark Horse says: “After following his trail around the world, Meru has finally found the missing passenger from the Amnesia Flight, but as he tells his story, she learns the mystery goes much deeper. In the first of two parts, witness the history of the secret MIND MGMT agency, revealed by the psychic spy who nearly destroyed it from within. And as Meru listens, the Immortals are only a few steps behind!”
