Just a “Heads Up” – Memorial Day Parade this Sunday! Which Way Are You Headin’?

Me, I’m getting outta town. Newark’s Memorial Day parade is great family entertainment; but as far as the store is concerned, it’s a bummer for business. Main Street will be blocked off most of the day which drastically disrupts business at our end. If you need your comics fix, stop by the shop Friday or Saturday to avoid the frustration.

I’m a heading to the New Jersey Comic and Toy Show in Cherry Hill, NJ on Sunday. This is not a “C.H.U.D.” show, but one where dollar and under books are NOT allowed – some good stuff will be there. Besides what you find in the shop with green tags, I’ll also be bringing Big Little Books, trades, non-sport trading cards sets, posters, a full-sized Venom, and lots of interesting comic related collectibles! The show is relatively easy to find. Do NOT use mapquest directions – if so, you can’t get there from here! Take I295 to exit 34B – Rt 70 west. Go a few miles and you’ll see the Holiday Inn on the left (that side is 70 East). being as this is New Jersey, you’ll have to go past it, and take the Cornell jug-handle to make the U-turn.

Speaking of Memorial Day, we have spots available for our Flea Market/Collectibles Show that day – Monday, May 28th. Set-up, sell some of your stuff and make a few bucks, and be home before the back yard B-B-Q! We are advertsing this as a 9 – 2 event. Only $15 per space.
