Announcing a 2 Day Pre-C.H.U.D. Yard Sale and another auction!
After discussing it, we decided to do another auction on Labor Day this year instead of another flea market. Like previous ones, the items up for bid will be available for preview in advance and those who can not attend the final live portion of the bidding process on Monday, September 5th can place absentee bids. We are seeking consignment items for the auction – sorry, no bulk lots (we have plenty ourselves). Consignors may set minimums. Details will be available shortly at the shop. Naturally, there will be a nice sale going on at Captain Blue Hen Comics at the same time.
Whew! I finished going through that huge collection and they are ready for sale. As I said in an earlier blog, I will be setting up at the 8/14 C.H.U.D. Show in Cherry Hill, but here is your chance at first shot at some fantastic savings. For those not familiar with C.H.U.D., it stands for Comics Here Under a Dollar and is a promotion by our good friend at Frankenstein Comics, Bill Bead. He does two types of shows – one where no comic may be sold for less than one dollar (a great place to find some high end keys) and C.H.U.D., just the opposite. Flyers for this show with directions can be found at the shop.
However, this Saturday and Sunday, 7/30 & 7/31, you can expect 10,000+ “fresh to the market” comics priced at one dollar or less per issue at my yard sale! These, of course, in addition to 1,000′s of others I already had.
Comics, Coins, & Cards plus Beanies, Buckets, Big Little Books, & Barrels! A full-sized R2D2 cooler, loads of 45 RPM records (including about 60 Elvis Presley ones) and whatever the boss wants me to drag outside. Hours both days: 8:00 AM to 2 PM (no early birds, please! I won’t be ready for you!) Where: 36 Ronna Place, Albertson Park, Wilmington, DE 19808. It’s in the Prices Corner area. Turn off Kirkwood Hwy onto Albertson Blvd., between Troop 6 and the bowling alley. Go through the intersection at Greenbank Rd. Stay left at the triangular intersection. Turn left at the next stop sign, and then Left again at the first opportunity. It’s a circle. Sorry, I can not accept credit cards, so bring CASH – lots of it! Hope to see you there! Paul
