Most Disturbing Panel in Comics
I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say the following panel, from World’s Finest #201, written by Denny O’Neil from March 1971. Yes, the Denny O’Neil who at the very time this came out was writing the groundbreaking Green Lantern Green Arrow stories with Neal Adams, wrote this dialogue.
May God have mercy on his soul. If you think this will be better if you have some context you will be sadly disappointed.
This scene is part of a challenge issued by Dr. Fate to Green Lantern and Superman to sort out some jurisdictional concerns. The Fate-ster demands that Big Blue and Fearless Green race through his purple tubes and the first one to touch Dr. Fate’s purple dragon wins.
See- I told you it would only make it worse.
I hope no one tries to one-up me on this.

That is just wrong.
I think you unwittingly issued a challenge Joe.
ouch (is that too “meta”?)
This one ranks pretty high, however when I read it in 1980,reprinted in a digest,it didn’t phase me too much. I’m a Buskell,I’m “Appellacion American” (sic) and I’m from Southern Chester County,PA. So seeing people smack their adult children was nothing new by the time I was 8 years old. However,I’d have to say that the most disturbing comic, full of disturbing images, published by DC was the last $0.10 issue of Jimmy Olsen,I don’t remember the #,y’all can look it up. Anyway this comic is full of incest,Superman and Lois’ daughter,Lola aka Supermaid marries her maternal first cousin,Jimmy Olsen,Jr. I can only presume that someone was having an off day or we’ve uncovered something more unfavorable about Mort Weisinger than originally known before.
