‘Total Recall’ Comes to Comics

Another Philip K. Dick Story Becomes a Comic Book

Dynamite Entertainment will publish a comic book series based on Total Recall, the 1990 Arnold Schwarzenegger science fiction movie.

Total Recall, directed by Paul Verhoeven, was based on the classic Philip K. Dick short story “We Can Remember It for You Wholesale.” Boom! Studios is currently adapting Dick’s “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep” while Marvel is publishing the comic book adaptation of his story “Electric Ant”.

The Total Recall comic book joins Dynamite’s growing list of licensed titles that also includes Battlestar Galactica and Stargate.

Ugh. If it’s faithful to the movie and not the short story – - – and features character art that looks like AHHHH-NOLD then I want nothing to do with it. Better get over to BOOM and MARVEL and read those two worthy adaptations.
