INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW…
What’s Paul up to? Yeah, right, but I’m gonna tell you anyway!
Breaking news: I will be setting up at the Aetna Fire Hall Collectibles Show this Sunday. Doors are open from 10 AM to 3 PM. I will be bringing Comics, Coins, and Cards. I hope to make a few bucks, but if ya got something of interest, coin or comic-wise, I’m open to trades!
Besides a couple of boxes of older, 10 cent cover comics, and a small box of relatively recent #1’s, I will have a decent assortment of graphic novels with me. These are all new, unread copies at wholesale prices that I scored at a store going out of business.
The coins are mostly extra Lincoln and Indian Head cents (my favorites) I have accumulated , but there will also be some buffalo and Jefferson nickels, as well as some early “type” coins. There will be starter sets, rolls, and some key dates, such as 1909 S, 1914 S, 1922 D, etc. I just picked up a binder of interesting foreign currency!
The cards will be mostly factory sealed baseball sets from 1984 – 1998, priced at half of guide! Have someone with a birth year in that range – great gift! In addition, if my son gets around to it, he will have some major star cards ready – Nolan Ryan rookies and more.
Extra special to attendees of the show: I will have valuable coupons that you may take advantage of at good ol’ Captain Blue Hen Comics. Stop by my table and get yours – No purchase necessary!
While I gotcha, CUBANE has been extremely busy lately and this coming week is no different. Friday night, they are playing at JB McGinnes and Saturday night you can catch them at the Logan House in Trolley Square. Go to www.cubaneband.com for more info.
Show update: If you are caught a recent blog of mine, we plan on doing our own comic book show and are looking at probably a September date, so as not to conflict with any others. Again, suggestions and help are appreciated. Anyone have a good contact with a venue close to a major road?
