Happy New Year to Everyone, plus a warning to cell phone users and a plea to beer drinkers
NEW YEAR’S EVE OPEN UNTIL 5pm
Here’s hoping that we keep some, if not most, of our New Year’s resolutions this time – get back in shape, pay off those credit card bills, buy lots and lots of comics – you know, the usual!
And let’s hope that some people decide (resolve) that they don’t HAVE to be on a cell phone as much as they do. Starting Friday, it is illegal to be on a cell phone, whether talking or texting, while driving in the city of Wilmington or Elsmere – more cities and towns will be following suit soon. And let’s hope that some people finally realize that the rest of us really don’t want to hear their conversations while shopping. Have you noticed that more and more businesses have signs requesting that you finish your call BEFORE coming to the counter. Isn’t it a shame that they even have to post such a sign? And blue tooth users…don’t even get me started.
Now, to our connoisseurs of fine beers (I ain’t talkin’ to youse Bud drinkers): I’m talking about those that come in dark colored glass and require a bottle opener. One of my sons asked Santa for a home brewing kit and he came through! But, he needs more of the “fancy” beer bottles. If you have accumulated some of these for that 5 cents deposit, I’ll give ya 25 cents for them. Again, dark colored and NO twist-offs. He could use about 3 dozen more immediately and probably more for future brewings. Thanks, Paul

I was going to make note that this sounded very un-Dave in posting, and then I noticed, unless Sam is asking for beer brewing kits, that it must be Paul.

Yeah, it was listed as me posting it. I changed it back to Paul. Bring Paul the beer bottles! My kid doesn’t drink anymore–he’s decided to really buckle down for second grade.

I think I have some Grolsch bottles hanging around, (green with the reusable top, 0.5L?) Would he want a glass, 5 gallon carboy?
