New ‘Stephen King’s Dark Tower’ Series from Marvel
A multi-series adaptation of Dark Tower: The Gunslinger, by Stephen King, begins in 2010. Marvel Comics brings back the previous ‘Dark Tower’ creative team of Peter David, Robin Furth, and Richard Isanove for this new series. Story arcs will come out in monthly comic book form, then those will be collected into books.
Dark Tower: The Gunslinger is the first novel in King’s seven-volume magnum opus, which began in 1982 with the last published in 2005. Marvel’s first comic series, Dark Tower: The Gunslinger Born, was drawn from flashbacks from Dark Tower: The Gunslinger and Dark Tower IV: Wizard and Glass; subsequent Marvel ‘Dark Tower’ series were new material.
