What’s In Your Stack?
What comics are you getting this week (10/7-10/13)?
OK, this is not a new feature. I tried to get everyone’s feedback about the Weekly Stack. It didn’t work all that well before, but I think it’s interesting enought to try again.
I am here every week and I STILL get excited when the NEW COMICS come in to the store. I think it could be interesting for you to share what comics YOU are reading. I know what many of you are getting because I pull the books for the members, so this is not for my personal amusement. This is for you and your fellow readers. Let’s talk about what we like the best in entertainment. Leave a comment. I’ll start:

ASTONISHING X-MEN #31 looking forward to Warren Ellis’ second story arc and new artist Jimenez. CROSSED #7 and HOTWIRE #4 — I’ve been stockpiling both waiting for the stories to end. GREEK STREET #4 — love the new spin on mythic deities. SWEET TOOTH #2 — my interest is increasing. ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN #3 — my interest is decreasing. BATMAN ANNUAL #27 – - not on my list but I’ll scan it in store for story and art and pick it up if it looks promising.
Thank you for a response, Mike! I also heard from a couple of you at the counter today. I appreciate the feedback.
Mike mentions HOTWIRE, a comic we don’t order for the shelves. Folks, it pays to check out the PREVIEWS catalog every month. We can’t order everything from every publisher. We try to cover the major interests, but there will be comics that you might be missing if you don’t special order. Ask about PREVIEWS at the store and keep your eyes on the website for PREVIEWS recommendations.
In my stack this week (see above) I look forward to work from old favorites on projects you wouldn’t expect them to be on: John Byrne on STAR TREK, and Peter Bagge on a HULK story.
I’m also hoping that Andy Diggle will keep DAREDEVIL as interesting as it was under Brubaker.
I should note that X-Men vs. Agents of Atlas did not ship this week.
