Captain Blue Hen, Friend to Your Local Library
The Kirkwood Highway Library in Wilmington re-opened on Saturday, August 22, and Captain Blue Hen Comics was part of the party. Captain Blue Hen’s owner, Joe Murray, presented a $200 check to the Kirkwood Highway Library to benefit the rebuilding fund. CBH also donated over $400 in books.
Captain Blue Hen raised funds on Free Comic Book Day 2009. Thank you to everyone who attended this year’s FCBD and donated to the library fund.
Captain Blue Hen Comics regularly raises money for local libraries at our events. We support libraries in other ways with resources and presentations. When local librarians have a question or a need regarding comics and graphic novels they come to Captain Blue Hen.
