Marvel released Wolverine #73 on May 13 with #72 to follow on May 27.

Wolverine #72 is the conclusion of “Old Man Logan” where Mark Millar and Steve McNiven tell the story of a possible future for Wolverine. With the release of the movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Marvel thought that new readers might be looking for a Wolvie comic, and that the last issue of a long storyline with an old dude as the lead character may not be the best jumping-on point for a new reader.
The slow, sporadic release of the “Old Man Logan” issues (neither Millar or McNiven are known for meeting their deadlines) probably has something to do with this whole thing whether Marvel wants to admit it or not.
We’ll see Wolverine #74 follow #72 on June 3. #74 leads into Dark Wolverine #75 due on June 17 with Logan’s son, Daken in the title role.
Does that all make sense?
