#9. Free Comic Book Day may be your last chance to experience the now quaint technology of a Polaroid instant picture. Last year the company announced that after over 45 years they would discontinue production with the last batch of film hitting the shelves due to expire in August 2009. Take this opportunity and get your Polaroid picture taken with Spidey, Darth Vader, Stormtrooper TK-4251, TIE Fighter pilot or any other characters who might show up. As always you are more than welcome to bring your own camera, but if you want a picture from us it’s just $4, half of which will benefit the Newark Arts Alliance and Kirkwood Highway Library.
It’s already bad enough we have to explain about “dialing” a phone, listening to an “album”, and the concept of channel surfing before remote control, but now we’re going to have to explain Andre 3000 songs. Sigh.
