Pet Avengers – Who Says This Isn’t the Marvel Age of All-Out Fun?

You may not have asked for it, but here it is anyway: Lockjaw and the Pet Avengers.

The four-issue mini-series will be written by Chris Eliopoulos (Franklin Richards: Son of a Genius). When Earth’s “real” superheroes are all off world battling some cosmic menace, it is up to The Inhuman’s huge, teleporting bulldog Lockjaw to assemble a team of non-human heroes and defend the planet.

Lockjaw’s team will feature critters that may have gone unnoticed or forgotten by the casual Marvel reader, but true Friends of ‘ol Marvel will recognize: Frog Thor, Redwing (the Falcon’s bird), Hairball (Speedball’s cat), Zabu (Ka-Zar’s sabretooth kitty) and Lockheed (Kitty Pryde’s mini dragon from another planet).
