CBHCOMICS on eBay, Coins at Aetna Fire Hall on Sunday, 11/16

As has been the case in the past, when some of our showcase books have become “stale” or we have too many of a certain issue, we will throw them up on eBay. Typically, they go for less than guide, but sometimes more than what we had been asking in the shop.

Starting Saturday night, 11/15 and ending Thursday evening, 11/20, there will be listings from yours truly, “CBHCOMICS”, on eBay. Naturally, should you win, you would not be required to pay a shipping fee as they can be picked up at the shop. Take a look – go to advance search and then type in CBHCOMICS in the seller slot.

Coins? Yes, I’m a long time coin collector/hoarder. As a kid in the 50′s, one would routinely find indian head cents, V nickels, buffalo nickels, barber dimes, quarters, and halves, and the stunning standing liberty quarters in change. Morgan and peace dollars were not that uncommom, either! I had a nice collection, with pennies (copper coins in general) being my favorites. All of those went when I saw an incredible 1951 MG TD in the showcase of a car dealership in Essington PA in the 70′s. So, I sold my coins and drove that right hand drive beauty for about a year and a half before selling it. I refrained from getting back into coins until the statehood quarters came – damn, that congressman from Delaware! Anyway, I have decided that I am too diversified and will just focus and cents and a type set. The rest must go!
If you have any interest, I will be set up at the Aetna Collectibles Show Sunday, Nov. 16th with the coins. I have COMPLETE sets of the following: Buffalo nickels, Jefferson nickels with and without proofs, mercury dimes, Roosevelt dimes with proofs, Washington quarters (1932 – 1998), Washington statehood quarters w/ clad proofs, Franklin Half dollars, Kennedy half dollars, Eisenhower, Susan B. Anthony, and Sacawagea Dollars – all of these are housed in nice new Dansco albums – plus lots of partial sets and individual coins. To set my prices, I averaged the “sold” prices on sets that were similiar on eBay. These make Great Holiday gifts and stocking stuffers!
