I haven’t put up a blog in a while and some of you may have noticed that I have not been as visible at the shop lately. The reason: I’m now officially older than dirt!
Not to get too political, but before some group starts privatizing social security, I decided to grab mine. That means I have to cut back my hours. Typically, you will find me at the shop all day on Mondays and Thursdays and I will split Sundays with the lovely Ms. Kita. Occasionally, I will fill in when others are ill, on vacation, or going to conventions, etc.
Will I still be buying older comics? YES! You can bring them to the shop on days I’m on or we can step up a time for me to stop by your home.
Now to get back to that headline – as you know, I use this opportunity to push my opinions or things that interest me. Naturally, my son’s band, CUBANE, is one. For those who haven’t read my blurbs before, they are a hard rock band – no grunting or rapping, just great beats and good lyrics. This Thursday, October 23rd, they are returning to JB McGuiness (formerly Gators) on Basin Rd near Wm Penn HS in New Castle to host a bikini contest! There will be plenty of TVs on to catch the Phillies, an opening band at 9:00, then the bikini contest at approx. 10PM, with CUBANE taking the stage at 10:30. I am not sure if there will be a cover charge that night, but should you decide to show, I will be there with coupons worth 50% off any of my “green-tagged” items for those who ask.
