Operation Baking GALS
OK, so I very rarely post, and I will admit up front that this post clearly has NOTHING to do with comics. I apologize in advance, but I believe that this is a really cool opportunity and that makes it worth spreading the word.
Several food bloggers got together after one received a letter from a soldier and decided that the men and women over seas need a bit more support from those of us back home. Instead of sending them razors and deodorant (not that they don’t need those also) this group of bloggers banded together and decided to send some homemade goodness. Who doesn’t love a chocolate chip cookie?
I have decided to help and signed my self up. If anyone is interested, the next round of delectable delights is set to ship between the 23rd and 30th of August. You have to sign up with Operation Baking GALS to receive addresses and names of soldiers to ship to. This also lets the soldiers know who they should be accepting packages from.
