ALA’s ‘I Love Libraries’ Website Loves Free Comic Book Day!

The American Library Association (ALA) is spotlighting Free Comic Book Day 2008 on ILoveLibraries.org, promoting this year’s May 3rd event.
The article focuses on many of the comics offered this year, including full-color cover previews. The story also touches upon retailers working in unison with libraries to build interest in comics and graphic novels.
ILoveLibraries.org is an enterprise of the American Library Association, one of the world’s oldest and largest library associations. Boasting more than 64,000 members, the ALA has a presence in academic, government, public, school and special libraries. To increase and expand opportunities for learning and access to information for everyone, the ALA seeks to provide leadership for the advancement of library and information services, as well as the profession of librarianship itself.
Thank you to the ALA and ILoveLibraries.org for promoting Free Comic Book Day and for providing links to Diamond’s resource for libraries and schools, BookShelf, as well as the Comic Shop Locator Service (CSLS).
