Winona Ryder and Bruce Greenwood in ‘Star Trek’
J.J. Abrams is wrapping up casting on his upcoming Star Trek feature film, and has added two new cast members. Winona Ryder will play Spock’s mother, according to Variety.
And Bruce Greenwood will play Christopher Pike, the first captain of the Enterprise, according to Hollywood Reporter. The casting of the Pike role fits with the storyline, which will tell the story of the early days of the Enterprise crew. Greenwood is a veteran of such recent features as I, Robot, and Capote.

Va a ser todo un reto para la actriz interpretar el personaje que esculpió a Spock, que impulsó con sus ideas al vulcano más famoso de toda la saga.
Spock representó para toda una generación la rebeldÃa incomprendida encauzada a mejorar las cosas, en contraposición a la rebeldÃa improductiva y nociva de otra generación naciente.
Ojalá comprenda la trascendencia de esa labor.
