November 4th, 2007 | Dave | Comics News

blankThe “season premiere” of Battlestar Galactica’s final season is getting a theatrical showing and a network premiere months before the rest of the final season airs. The two-hour episode, titled “Razor”, will be screened free in movie theaters in eight major markets on November 12th.

The Sci Fi Network premiere of the episode is set for November 24th. The rest of the final season will start in April 2008.

Minor correction: it’s not a season premiere so much as it is a special feature. The fourth season premiere won’t air until sometime in April 2008.

Razor” is more or less a movie that ties into the events of Season 4 with events throughout the first two seasons of series, as seen through Kendra Shaw’s point of view.

Thank you for the update. Please note that “season premiere” is in quotes in the announcement and the gist of the article was when and where “Razor” would appear.

BSG: Razor was originally announced as an early start to the season which was just pushed back from early next year to April ‘08. Sci-Fi.com describes the show thusly: “The special two-hour episode “Razor”…will serve as a backdrop for the events of season four of Battlestar Galactica…”

Hopefully other online pop culture news sources such as TVenvy, snagwire, icv2.com, rottentomatoes.com, boxxett.com, etc. will make similar updates.
