Character Schedule for Free Comic Book Day
The calls have been coming fast and furious - “When’s (insert cool character name here) going to be appearing at Free Comic Book Day?” Well, the schedule is starting to firm up and here is the most up-to-date info we’ve got. All times are tentative and subject to change because these heroes are all busy little crimefighters and Imperials this Saturday.
- Star Wars characters - Noon to 3
- Batman and Batgir - 2 to 4 pm
- Spider-Man - 3 to 5 pm
Don’t forget we’ll also have artists Mike Manley (Superman and Draw!), Scott Neely (Scooby Doo and Cartoon Network), Neil Vokes (Superman Adventures and The Black Forest), Rich Faber (Buzzboy/Roboy Red and Green Lantern) and Jamar Nicholas (Grosse Adventures) signing and sketching from noon to 5 pm.
The annex will be open for our final blowout of tons of comics and toys; we’ll be busting piñatas to celebrate the end of 52, the start of Countdown and of course, Cinco de Mayo; there will be door prizes; chances to help raise money to send comics to the troops overseas and help the local libraries; and so much more fun.
Bonus - Free Comic Book Day also offers an opportunity to sign up for your copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. You’ll want to get this final book the second it arrives and you can be reading it under the covers minutes after midnight when Captain Blue Hen opens late Friday, July 2o for fun and magic and the book goes on sale promptly one minute after midnight.
